With the hottest weekend for a very long time, just behind us, swimming pools have become a hot topic here. We love entertaining at Pen Y Llechwedd, but we are seriously missing our pool from our previous home, cue many hours drooling over at Pinterest for the perfect swimming pool for our family and our backyard.

This is my idea of a perfect pool, plenty of shade to not only keep the bright sunshine at bay, but to provide plenty of privacy. Absolute perfection!
Yes my love of blue and white does also extend to pool decoration ? The pots and cushions are the perfect compliment to this beautiful pool.
Simple perfection. The glass fence is a perfect example of minimalism. This fuss free pool and landscaping really appeals to me.

Right up top of my dream list of things to include in my outdoor area is a waterfall, why not combine the two like this. Love!
Swimming pools are mostly quite similar in the shape and colour, it’s the landscaping that really makes them stand out. For me a pool must have connectivity to the home or it just wont get used.
Our previous pool was located in a position that you could reach from most rooms in the house. There was always someone swimming, and perfect for entertaining.
