A pool house has long been on my wish list, and although we decided against installing the pool and pool house here at Pen Y Llechwedd, we have recently been working on a pool house plan for a client. Que hours drooling on Pinterest, my favourite time waster ? This week I am sharing 6 of my favourite pool houses.
Summer Pool House
This pool house by Melinda Hartwright Interiors has been on my inspiration board for the last 2 years, really simple, but an effect use of space. I’d be very happy to sit our by the pool sipping bubbly while the kids swim, in this stylish pool house.

The addition of a outdoor kitchen in this pool house increases the functionality of the space. I can imagine my teen boys our here with their mates having a sausage sizzle, and keeping the mess outside of the house. Win, WIN!
This is perfectly opulent for me, that light, the vaulted ceilings, oh it’s just bliss! While on the grand end of the spectrum, we can all dream can’t we?
Have you ever in your life. On goodness, this is every form of perfection! My children would not be setting foot into this beauty. Amazing!
Ok, so not a traditional pool house, but what a great way to incorporate the same space in a usable way that encourages flow from inside to out. A great design element from Phil and Amity.
This modern masterpiece is inspirational. Now this is really inviting the outside in. Just spectacular.
The pool house we are working on, has 2 open sides to cut down on costs, and a small outdoor kitchen running along one of the walls, keeping the space open in the middle. A practical cost effective option, for a busy family with 3 teens.
