Summer time is my favourite time of the year and Summer gardens are my favourite of all the seasons. We entertain a lot in our garden, sitting under the olive tree with fairy lights strung through it or sitting on the grass, with cushions and blankets. There is something very quaint about enjoying a beautiful back garden in Summer.
Summer Gardens To Inspire
Cottage gardens are a perfect spot to enjoy in Summer. With plenty of green to keep us feeling tranquil.
Having somewhere hidden in the garden to sit is such a treat. This bench seat looks amazing under the tree, and the oil lights are gorgeous.
What could possibly say Summer more than a backyard BBQ, I love cooking outdoors.
Our kids have always enjoyed playing the garden, when they were little it was hide and seek and on the swings, now days it’s a game of football or jumping on the trampoline.
Adding a fire pit is a great way to increase the time you can spend outdoors in your garden. We use our regularly throughout Summer and Winter.
I haven’t met a water feature I didn’t love. We have 2 water features and a running stream in our garden. I enjoy the sound of running water so much, I like to hear it from every part of our home.
Outdoor lighting also needs to be considered for entertaining in the back yard on a Summers evening. It’s amazing what a few strands of fairy lights can do.
