Small Kitchens – Inspired Space

Small Kitchens – Inspired Space

We have started looking at what is available on the market on acreage where we live. I have to be honest, that market is very limited. Apart from a minimum acre, we don’t have too many requirements, but a pool and a few sheds would be high on the want list. We need 4 bedrooms, but can make anything work with our skills. One thing we have noticed, is many small kitchens, which has me thinking of ways to make them work for our large family. There are some pretty amazing kitchens out there when you start looking about, here are a few of my favourites.

Small Kitchens to Inspire

This spectacular small kitchen is the brain child of Athena Calderone, photographed by Sarah Elliot. I absolutely adore the dark cabinets. As a bonus this kitchen is actually a low cost make over, click on the pictures to find the original post and see the transformation.

This clever kitchen by Sarah Sherman Samuel distracts the eye from it’s size using the open shelving. The bright white tiles, cabinets and walls keeps the kitchen feeling light and airy.

This small kitchen transformed by the Property Brothers proves that you don’t need a lot of space to have a functional kitchen. Love the island!

This tiny kitchen put together in a rental apartment by Chelsae Sahlman and her husband is absolutely spectacular. Though little, it looks so functional! Found via Domino.

Dear Lillie Studio has used every spare inch of space in this small kitchen design, showing us small kitchens can not only be beautiful but practical as well.

Being restricted by space does not stop you from using that space to the best of it’s ability. With careful planing and thought, your small kitchen can be as functional as it’s larger counterparts.

Are you blessed with a big kitchen? See any ideas here for your kitchen renovation?

  2. Now that we’re seriously thinking about a kitchen reno, this post has got me seriously excited. Our kitchen is very bijou but I think we’d have to go something white because it’s open plan and there’s not much light. Consider this pinned and thanks for the inspo!

  3. Each entry looks very homey and I’m loving it! Definitely a good use of small space.
