This week, instead of bringing you an Etsy shop, I would like to introduce you to a very special friend of mine. Tahnee Heit, is a beautiful Mum of 3, married to her childhood sweetheart, living a dreamy life, and just happens to be one of the most talented artists I have ever met.

When we moved into our Pen Y Llechwedd, we were presented with many house warming gifts, however none were as heartfelt as the gifts we received from Tahnee. Tahnee had been speaking of her art when we saw each other, for some time, however she was shy, and uncomfortable with showing me. Quite some time into our friendship, Tahnee found great courage, and shared with me her art. To say I was blown away is an understatement, what Tahnee can do with a pencil, really blows my mind. The pieces she showed me, were intricately perfect, exact and absolutely beautiful. It was through this enthusiasm that Tahnee was able to grow her confidence enough to present us with two thoughtfully researched pieces.

These pieces, are Welsh insects, researched and chosen because of Pen Y Llechweddd’s Welsh heritage. Intricately drawn to perfection, and hung with pride of place in our home.

When I recently shared one of these pieces on Instagram, I was overwhelmed with private messages asking if they could be purchased, so after some firm encouragement, my lovely friend Tahnee, has produced her first 4 pieces for sale.
