Last weekend, we visited the Ipswich Plant Expo, and were delighted to meet a wonderful, warm and enthusiastic lady, Susan. Susan was a delight to talk to, full of infectious enthusiasm for her products and her future view. I left her stall feeling excited to find places in my home for her wonderful wares. Here is a little of her story…
Our Kitchen Garden is a labour of love for me, a Brisbane-based artisan who, together with my family, design and hand-craft a range of rustic garden and kitchen wares to inspire and enrich hearth and home.
From the inventive and practical to the quaint and quirky, for the here and now to the there and then, we maintain a holistic approach to healthier and more sustainable living, seamlessly merging form with function in all we create.
Each distinctive piece, whether it be a hand-turned Twine Holder, a Trug or a Recipe Box, is lovingly hand-crafted from timber with an innate respect for traditional craftsmanship of years gone by, as well as an unflagging consciousness of the years to come.
Susan had wonderful products to share at her market stand and also has a website from which you can purchase these goodies. She has a mixture of handmade goodness, and vintage finds like these…
Our Kitchen Garden is soon to open a shop front, and there was also talk of a cooking school. A delightful business run by genuine people.
You can find Susan’s shop here, and her Facebook here if you like the look of Susan’s goodies as much as I do, be sure to stop by here website.
