Pen Y Llechwedd – The Ensuite Update

Pen Y Llechwedd – The Ensuite Update

Finally we have started moving with the ensuite. A couple of weeks ago we shared the beginnings of our next renovations. Our enusite has been top of my list for quite a while now, and I was super excited to find we had a little gap in our schedule that we could fill with our renovations, with the ensuite being the beginning of it all. Sometimes I forget though, just how frustrating it can be to be a client.

It was easy for me to plan the ensuite and make the selection choices, however I had not factored in the waiting! Waiting for quotes waiting for cabinetry, waiting for lights, mirrors, tiles you name it, it had a waiting period of at least 14 business days some as much as 5-6 weeks.

I am most excited about the cabinetry and can’t wait to share pictures with you, for now, here is my inspiration. We do not have the space for a double vanity, but just to have a top on which to put a hand soap will be a dream come true!

This AH-mazing bathroom is bythe talented team at Highgate House.

Choosing a sink and tapware was much harder than I expected, and again there are wait times for both. Here is a little peak at the tapware we have ordered.

The other, most important part I didn’t really consider, is the expense. Everything with bathrooms is so expensive! The Builder has long been worried about how much our kitchen will cost, can’t say he’s feeling any better now ?

We are nearly 3 weeks in to this part of our renovation and have at least another 2 weeks to go. I’m really excited to share the after photos when we are all done.

Have you renovated a room recently? Which room in your home would you most like to change? What colours tiles do you think we chose?

  1. I cannot wait for the big reveal! You’re like the King Midas of interiors, everything you touch turns to fabulous! I would love to renovate our kitchen but like the builder, I’m quite worried about how much it will cost!

  2. I can’t wait to see the finished room! My hubby refuses to let me renovate rooms because of the cost!

  3. Looking forward to seeing the final result. I love your inspiration photo!

  4. I can’t wait to see your ensuite Nicole. X
