Our Christmas table this year is very similar to the table from last year with a few extra elements. I have put this together trying to keep things simple, fresh and clean, to give us as a family the best opportunity to enjoy the space. I hope you like it as much as we do.
Pen Y Llechwedd’s Christmas Table
Starting with a big white table cloth as the base, we added some hessian to add some warmth.
To bring back the freshness, we added foliage from our garden, this year it’s olive branches.
I am a firm believer that no table is complete without candles and lots of them!
To give a little height, we’ve added some jars stuffed full of rosemary, they smell divine.
Next we’ve added the place settings, again using some rosemary to set the tone of the meal to be served.
Finally we have set out the place cards, very important when you have a big family and everyone is arguing over where to sit. These were tied onto the chairs with the red ribbon you can see on the top of the chairs.
There we have our table for 2016. Simple, fresh and clean.
I’d love to see some photos of how you styled your table this year, please leave them on my Facebook wall.
