Finally, Master 14’s bedroom is complete. This room took quite some planing to get it right. Master 14 is already 6ft and so we needed to make sure we made the right bed choice for him. The room could allow for a double or queen bed, but there would be little room for anything else.
Remembering what it was like to be a teenager and needing a little space, we decided on a king single to give him a reasonable amount of room in his bed, but also plenty of room left in the space to add a desk, but still be able to lie on the floor, or as the case will really be, leave his stuff lying around 🙂
Master 14 is a very serious young man, and so when the Builder and I spoke about how to do his room, we wanted to give him a grown up space but using bright happy colours, hoping to give him a sanctuary of space to retreat to when he needs a break. As with all the kids bedrooms, decorating was to be done on a budget. This time Kmart and Officeworks proved to be of the most inspirational.

The sheets were from Spotlight and the rug was bought some years ago. The room feels fresh, clean, bright and happy and Master 14 loves it!
What do you think of the room? Did we hit the bright happy brief? Have you shopped anywhere lately I should be checking out?
