A slower working week this week, meant Adam and the apprentice Rylee were able to spend a couple days at home. Yay!! A few fiddley jobs that needed to be done, were finally ticked off the list.
This door off the lounge had to have the handle fixed so that we could use it for everyday access. We are now able to use this door to get us out to our favourite deck to enjoy in the morning. Our bedroom deck was stacked high with building materials ready to renovate our bathrooms, I was so excited to see them taken under the house to give us some more room.
Rylee has been busy working on our new vegetable gardens, I’ll have some photos to share next week.
My most hated item in my kitchen was replaced for my Mother’s Day gift. Here is the before dishwasher
And the after, newer better dishwasher, that actually cleans the dishes instead of just spraying some water at them.
A little bit of shopping may have taken place as well, this gorgeous silver vase/plate was a super find at my local opshop. I’m still not really sure what this item is supposed to be used for, as it only has a small well in the middle, not like a vase as such, but it works well with the short stemmed roses.
Speaking of roses, they are absolutely blooming at the moment, despite the cooler weather. They look as beautiful inside the house as they do outside on the bush.
I’m loving Pen Y Llechwedd more and more every day. We were able to share her with 3 different sets of clients during the week, as we have opened our home for inspection for those that wish to see a home mid-renovation, or are looking for ideas for their own Queenslanders. It is rapidly becoming my most anticipated time in our home, sharing what we love and watching as their enthusiasm for their own homes increases.
How was your week? Are you enjoying the cooler weather?

I’m pretty sure I have your old dishwasher… no wonder we usually wash by hand! x
He he, I am sure all it ever did was throw water at the dishes, they never seemed to come out clean. xx
I love that silver tray and how beautiful are those roses?! I am sure it’s swoon-a-minute when people walk through the house!
It is so pretty Sam. I do love me some pretty xx
