This weeks focus in Pen Y Llechwedd, has been entertaining. Goodness have we done some entertaining! Friday drinks and nibbles, coffee in the morning with friends, Sunday saw a more formal sit down lunch with 6 of our friends, followed by an evening of silly board games and a few too many wines. Monday a few casual drop ins and a neighbourly chat through the fence. Like all great bloggers, I was simply too busy having fun to remember to take photos.
During all this time, I’ve been struck by how many spaces we have for all these occasions. We have the front deck for a late afternoon catch up,
the side deck for when we wish to be on our own,
coffee and late nights are perfectly suited to the back deck,
our beautiful formal dining room for when a sit down dinner is in order,
and a little piece of grass for a less formal picnic style get together.
Not forgetting the fabulous fire pit down the back for a more primal feel.
I simply cannot share enough, how blessed we feel to be a part of this home, how wonderful it is to invite others to share in her grace and warmth.
Do you have different spaces to use when visitors drop by?

It is wonderful when you get to the point of being able to invite friends and family over isn’t it:)
We had some of my family for lunch on Monday, 26, and it was lovely to host. Like you we have different spots, room for all to mingle.
It is great Erin, my favourite part of our home is being able to share her with our friends and family. Your lunch sounds fabulous! Such a happy noise to have friends in your home xx
Lovely Nicole, you make having a verandah or deck look very appealing!
We usually entertain under our back patio and the area that comes off of this, which leads into our backyard, We are in the process of making changes to this area to make it more user friendly.
Thank you Danielle, the patio sounds like a great space, perfect for adults and kids alike
Thank you for the tour. Your house is stunning. I’m so glad to know someone else forgets to take photos at parties.
I forget every, single time! Too busy enjoying myself. xx
What day and time would you like me? Haha – OMG your house is gorgeous and that deck area is beautiful. I would so enjoy sitting out there on that lovely outdoor lounge, sipping on a wine chatting away to you while the menfolk cook on the bbq – stubby in hand. What a beautiful home you have! Oh that fire pit would be fun during winter!
You are welcome anytime Min, I do agree, that sipping some bubbles whilst the men cook, sounds like an absolutely perfect way to spend and afternoon. xx
Oh I’m in love with it! LOVE the big verandah. Perfect for entertaining. I can’t wait until I move in ?
Me either Renee, will be wonderful not to be outnumbered by boys for a change xx
So many spaces, you really are spoilt for choice! Sounds like you had an eggcellent time!
We sure did Sammie xx
Such a gorgeous home. We are moving to North Queensland soon and I’ve been hope we find a Queenslander to do up – your home is an inspiration.
Thank you so much Vicki. That sounds like an exciting move! I live in FNQ for a little over 12 months, and there are certainly some beautiful homes where we were, in Innisfail. Good luck, and I look forward to hearing more about your move xx
