Pen Y Llechwedd-An Update

Pen Y Llechwedd-An Update

I was reminded this week of 2 before shots of our Pen Y Llechwedd, and I am most happy with her changes. Whilst we will leave the full reveal until we are satisfied with her being complete, I will show these two before and nearly afters to show you our progress.

This is how the front looked a few days after we took her over. Whilst the hedges had been a little maintained, the garden was completely grown over.

IMG_20150323_063048Here she is, just last week, still not completed, but finally maintained and presenting with the splendour she deserves.

photo_34This is the original view from our lounge into our dining room, my goodness what a change this has seen. So dark and oppressive, I just cannot remember it this way. Thank goodness for her charm, otherwise I don’t think I could ever have imagined the changes we have made.

IMG_39671The photos simply don’t do it justice! I am totally in love with what we have accomplished.

IMG_39651I love every piece of furniture we have chosen.

IMG_39661I adore my drinks ‘cart’.

IMG_39681Love this piece, that took us months to find.

I’m really happy with how far we have come. There is certainly plenty of work still to be done, but I feel now, after seeing the before photos, we are well on our way.

Are you renovating your home? Have you renovated before?

  2. Wow! It looks amazing! I love old houses like that with the wide open verandahs, the polished floors and immaculate gardens. When can I move in? ? We have renovated and built before. I too, am a builder’s wife ?

    1. We should make a club Renee, The Builders Wives Club, where we can discuss ways to get the everyday waterproofing membrane out of their clothes, or compare splinter removal techniques. ?
Would love to share our space with you, I’ll swap you for one of the kids, do you think Hubby would be ok with that?

      1. Lol! Sounds like a good deal to me ?

  3. Bravo! What an incredible space you’ve created. That drinks cart is definitely calling my name!
    Have a lovely Easter
