There have been a few changes here at TBW Head Quarters, and we have finally been able to introduce some new services that will further open up the opportunity to work with myself and the Builder. We began only a few weeks ago with my first eBook, Preparing Your Home For Sale – A DIY Guide and what a wonderful sucess it has been. I’m pleased it wasn’t a physical book, because I would have massively underestimated its popularity, and not had enough stock to service demand, which is nothing short of surprising for me.
Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for new products to be added to my shop, including fantastic resources for builders and tradespeople, as well as a few physical products for the home decorator. This week though, I have released 4 new ways for the home renovator or home decorator to work with myself and the Builder.
New Services – Working With The Builders Wife
Building Consultations
There are 2 ways in which you have the opportunity to work with The Builder and myself and they are in the form of building consultations. The first of which will give you an opportunity to have the Builder and myself come to your home, and walk through any ideas you have for what you would like to do with your renovation or extension. In this time, The Builder and myself will discuss the practicality of what it is you have dreamt about and provide you with approximate costings, which allows you to see how it fits in with your budget.
Secondly, we have a consultation for home owners who are considering selling, but know they have a bit of work to do before you engage a real estate agent. We have developed a consultation in which you have unlimited access to the Builder and myself and our 20+ years of experience in building, buying, selling and decorating homes. This consultation is designed specifically with the DIYer in mind and will provide you with a great understanding of those jobs you really must do to get the best price for your home.
Below I share a testimonial given by a recent client of our building consultation service. As you can see, in this case, The Builder was able to provide the clarification required and a few new options to think about, which in turn will save substantial funds.
We contacted Nicole in regards to design services for our renovation project and were thrilled when we were informed that The Builders Wife offered design/ floor plan consultations.
The main issue my husband and I were facing was agreeing on a way to incorporate both of our ideas into a plan for our renovation project. A time was arranged for The Builder to meet us on site, and to be honest, we were hoping he had great mediation skills!
We needn’t have worried as The Builder was the thorough professional, and listened to both of our ideas, and with gentle guidance, he explained to us to what would work best for our home, even suggesting some layout options we hadn’t thought of.
We were so impressed with The Builder’s knowledge which can only come from his years of experience in the Building Industry.

Interior Consultations
I have been asked many times for interior consultations, however with our business being so busy, I simply didn’t have the time. With the changes we have implemented this year, I now have time to do what I loved best, and get back to interior consultations. There are a few ways in which I can help you in your home, apart from the above, I also offer room design, on a room by room basis, and a DIY staging service.
My room design service works as a mutual opportunity for you to work with me to create your perfect space within budget. It starts with a visit, and finishes with an inspiration board with sources to selections within your budget, then you get to have the fun putting it all together. It is a great budget service.
This is an example of an inspiration board I created for a client’s hallway. She is in the process of bringing it all together, and I’ll be sure to show you the results once completed!
DIY Staging is for those home owners who lack the confidence to do so with the eBook guide alone. This consultation will allow me to walk your home with you, and discuss what is needed to best stage your home with what you have. Another fantastic budget option, that keeps you in control.
