I don’t set resolutions for the new year, I create an intention board that helps to keep me inspired to reach my goals for the year. This proves to be the most successful strategy for us as it is not just putting out there what we are aiming to achieve, it is also a visual reminder on a daily basis as we hang them in an area we are in each day. I shared my intentions for 2016 with you last year and am happy to say, we ticked off nearly all of them. I’d like to share with you, what I am aiming for this year.

My 2017 Intentions

Health

This year my focus will be returning to my health. I am kicking this off in a very big scary way for me, and have booked to have surgery on my wisdom teeth on the 20th of January. I have been putting this off for years, but have decided now is the time!

I also have those pesky 10kgs to loose, although now that Christmas is over, there may be a few more. I don’t intent to go on a diet to do this, simply make a few lifestyle changes and kick myself up the but. At the end of last year, I found that I have quite a few issues with my right side, so Pilates are on my radar for now!

I am still aiming to be able to run at least 5kms. I have made numerous starts to this, but have run into obstacles each time. This year will be the year of the run!

I would love to work hard and double my readers this year. To do this I will need your help. I’d love to know what it is you would like me to write about. Home

We have a few really exciting things in the pipeline for 2017 for our home already. There is a magazine spread to come in February and another very exciting project later in the year, that will allow you to come and explore our home. Watch this space for more details as they come to hand.

We have firm plans for the pool, front fence and carport to be finished early in the year and a view to completing the last of the extensions late this year or early the next. Regardless of the order in which it comes, there will be lots of adventures at Pen Y Llechwedd in the next few years.

Events

Along with the above event, which will be your chance to explore our home, I am looking to host a few events here at Pen Y Llechwedd as well as some shopping tours with a difference. I have also been asked to speak again in another top secret project soon to be announced.

I would love to continue with my public speaking, I thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to meet like minded people.

Fernbrooke Homes

We are expanding this year! Yay! We are starting the year by putting in place a new site supervisor, who will become our superhero. This will free up some of both Adam’s and my time to be able to focus on our other goals. We actually have another 2 businesses in the pipeline and I would love for at least one of these to begin their lives this year.

Personally

This year I am working more on taking a little time for myself. Each year over Christmas I am reminded of how much I love to read, I will be making time for this. I hope to travel to the UK at least twice in the year to come. With my daughter so far from home it will essential to my survival to spend as much time with her as I can and while a couple of trips wont quite do it, it’s a start.

I am also prioritising time with The Builder. As 2016 went on, we lost our routine of spending date nights together. This is a big priority for us, as working together we tend to get stuck talking about work all the time, date nights give us a fresh perspective.

That is about where we are at for this coming year. Really a continuation from the year before.
