Sharing her Favourite Space this week, we have Kirsten Smith from Kirsten and Co. A delightfully witty blogger, who has me in stiches with just about every post, not afraid to show off her handsome hubby ‘Guns’, who has an amazing ability to cook and flex his muscles at the same time. Kirsten has another regular visitor to her blog, Charmaine. Charmaine is the classic 80’s chick, with the most amazing hair I’ve every seen. Kirsten’s blog is not only full of funny stories, but also has an awesome shop attached, with beautiful prints to decorate your home, you know you need to check these out! Anyway, enough of my ramble, here is Kirsten’s space….
Tell us a little about yourself?
Hi, I’m Kirsten! I live in Brisbane, Australia with my husband, Scott, two kids, Bailey (14) & Sophie (10). I’m a former early childhood teacher, current blogger & graphic designer, keen photographer and enthusiastic exercise avoider. In my spare time I love to take photos, shop, decorate, organise, drink coffee, hang out with my family and take long, romantic walks to the fridge.
Tell us about your favourite space?’
We’ve recently moved house and my favourite space at the moment is our dining room. It’s not really a room as such, as our living space downstairs is very much open plan, so I guess you’d call it a dining area?
What is it about this space that makes it your favourite space?
It’s the one place in the house where we come together as a family. Every night we have dinner together and we do this thing where we discuss the best and the worst of our day. It’s a great conversation starter and gives Scott and I a bit of an insight into what’s going on in our kid’s lives at school.
What are your favourite items in this space?
After having a daggy old dining room table and chairs in our last house, I am completely in love with the new table and linen covered chairs I picked up on sale just before we moved. Although the chairs are a little bit on the impractical side in terms of keeping them clean (fabric protection definitely helps!), they’re so comfortable and give the area a homely, cosy vibe.
How does this space make you feel?
It makes me feel like I should host a dinner party with family and friends ASAP!
I love Kirsten’s dining table, it is very similar to one we looked at buying for our home. If you’d like to score an invitation to Kirsten’s dinner party, be sure to stalk follow her via her, Blog Facebook Twitter Instagram and Pinterest
Do you have a favourite space you’d like to share?

I would love a craft room, but to be totally honest I have no idea when I’d get to use it either xx
It’s a gorgeous dining area – so jelly!
It’s lovely isn’t it xx
I love Kirsten’s styling. I’d definitely want to go to a dinner party at her place!
Me too xx
I’ve seen Kirsten’s desserts, I’ve seen the dining table, all I need to see now is the invitation to dinner! Kirsten has such a great sense of style in all things design and this room is no exception. I’m also a big fan of her clean floors which are so sparkling, I would happily eat my dinner off them!
He he he, you make me laugh Sammie!
Love this space, Kirstens home is peaceful and serene, well to look at anyway! Hx
