On Monday I showed you a series of beautiful kitchens that are keeping me inspired while I wait on our new kitchen and extension. Today I wanted to share my inspiration board for my new kitchen. Honestly this is still evolving, building a new kitchen is a long process and I’d like to sit with my choices for as long as I can prior to the final go-ahead.
My Dutch heritage means I LOVE everything blue and white. I do have a collection of delft plates given to me by my grandmother, and I would really like to make these a feature in my new kitchen. The lighting still has us a little stumped, the lighting here is really simple, I imagine that lighting was super simple when the house was built, though the original lights we do have in the house are really ornate, so this will be decided last.

What are your thoughts on my kitchen inspiration? Do you have any kitchen planning tips for me?
Last week we had some wonderful links ups, with our Home Improvement Thursday proving to be a HIT!! (roll eyes :))
We had Holly sharing her tips on how to Create a Guest Ready House with Speed Cleaning.
Erin shared the Demolishing of Her Laundry.
While Lauren shared her DIY Wall Art.
We thank you all for linking up, don’t forget to check out The Plumbette‘s post for today and she who she has chosen to share.
Care to share your home improvement, or organisation post with us? Linking is simple, just click on the #HIT logo above to take you through to the rules, once you’re sure you’ve got the simple rules covered, pop back and add your link following the add link button below. Love these kitchen ideas! Some really lovely ideas here, thank you.:)
Thanks for dropping by! xx
Thanks so much for featuring my link up from last week ?
My kitchen is so dark. It’s in the centre of the house, so no windows & our sliding doors next to the kitchen open onto a patio so no sun streaming in. The blue bench tops don’t help either, but would you believe after owning the place for 6 years, I only recently thought about skylights…. And the fact dad can install them almost with his eyes closed. Looking forward to a brighter space until the day I can design my dream kitchen too.
My pleasure Holly, thank you for joining our link up. Skylights are great and yay for handy Dads!! xx
Oh my! Identical inspiration on my Pinterest “lake house kitchen” board! How about you just buy two of everything and do mine too!
Sounds like a plan ?
lucky you, I’d love a new kitchen! Looks like it’s going to be beautiful!
IT’s going to be a little while off yet. But we’ll get there ? xx
My kitchen is so dark and brown but I’m vicariously kitchen planning with you and loving it! Great picks – that Caesar Stone is the stuff kitchen dreams are made of! Well, my kitchen dreams anyway ? xx
I love that you have kitchen dreams ? xx
I love the idea of this home improvement link up…I’m a bit partial to some vicarious home improvement! We’re between renovations at the moment…and enjoying the break from dust, builders, invoices, too many finish choices… I love your blue and white inspiration.
It’s a big job Fairlie, with plenty of big decisions to be made along the way. But hopefully a fun experience too?
