Changing our kitchen space is going to be one of the last things on our list. Currently we have a fully functioning kitchen that is more than adequate for our needs. More important things like bedrooms for the kids, a laundry, and fixing the bathrooms, needs to be done before we consider the kitchen. This leaves me with the perfect opportunity to plan, build a Pinterest board, and drool over all the things I would like.

I love white, it’s cool, crisp and clean, it has the ability to open up a room, to make it lighter and brighter. It just feels right for our home. I also love dark furniture to ground the room and give it strength and elegance. Right now we are working on mostly white cabinetry with a heavy dark timber island beach. Here is some of my inspiration…….

Whilst this kitchen is cream, the cabinetry is nearly perfect.

I love the warmth of this room; it feels like an inviting space, somewhere the family will want to be.

I am not sure about the granite bench tops, not with 5 kids, I’d be too concerned about it staining.
