We are so excited about the new fabric choices we have made, we are finding it really difficult to keep it a secret. Today I thought I would explain why we made such a dramatic change in direction, and maybe hint a little as to what you can expect.
Grey has always been our base fabric colour and we haven’t steered away from this.
We have decided to bring in a little colour, a little floral, to freshen the space a little, not the one above, but something a little similar. When we started looking at the options for furniture and fabric for our home, we wanted to keep things really traditional, with the opportunity to now decorate for ourselves, we have found the pressure of making sure our home look as good as what a designer would do, to be quite overwhelming, it simply isn’t possible for us to replicate the style of another, and so we have decided that as we have to live here, we won’t be governed by rules as such, we will choose furniture and fabric that we love, whilst always keeping in mind, the period of our home, and our desire to reflect that in our choices.
I wrote recently on my facebook page about people having the courage to live their truth. This is what we have decided to reflect in our own home, live our truth, make it our home, and be comfortable.
