Each year the culmination of our Easter celebrations is a big family lunch and every year, I like to dress the table accordingly. Last week I shared some Easter decorating ideas, this week I am sharing some of the table decorating inspiration I found while looking for ideas for my own table. Easter table decorating is a fun way to add to the experience of a formal family lunch, a time we thrive together on our bonds and create special memories.
Easter Table Decorating Inspiration
This was our Easter table from 2 years ago, a real mixture of what I love and Easter goodies! We had a semi formal family lunch out under the shade of the trees, which is my very favourite place to entertain. As you can see here, it really doesn’t take much to take and ordinary table to a themed table that all your guests will admire and remember. It is something our children really love about our Christmas, Easter and birthday meals.
When planning my table decoration, I am looking for items that can be used at other times. This simple centerpiece could be used for a spring setting, even a kids birthday party, fairies or farm animals would look right at home in all that moss. Head on over to Family Circle magazine for step by step instructions.
This is such a clever and stunning idea for a Easter table, found via Purely Katie. The beautiful speckled eggs work perfectly with the babies breath. Love it!
For those of us who have younger children, I love this bright and fun idea by The Pink Flour! Incredibly simple but super effective.
You know I can’t go past a blue and white table, Kelly Nan has executed this to perfection! Sleek, clean and classy, perfect for a dinner party or an Easter lunch with older children. How well do green and blue work together!!
Easter table decorating should be fun and simple, after all we want to have a chance to relax and enjoy the day as well. I’d love to see your table decorating if you give an Easter theme a go. Post in the comments here or send me through some pics on Facebook.
Do you have a colour theme you stick too? Entertaining for Easter this year?
