Although our children have nearly grown, my wish is that Easter and Christmas remain magical times in their memories and as such, decorating our home for both of these festive seasons has become a part of our family tradition. Easter decorating is a little more difficult as there isn’t a hype as big as for Christmas, but with some careful planning, we seem to manage each year.
Easter feels fresh each year, I guess while not the beginning of Spring, it does mark the commencement of our Autumn, so when decorating I tend to stick to pastel colours myself. Bunnies, chicks and babies of all kinds tend to play their part in our decorations.
Easter Decorating Ideas For Your Home
There are always vignettes around my home, one of the simplest ways for us to incorporate Easter decorating into our existing decorating, is to add little Easter touches to them. This lovely vignette by Holliday from Home With Holliday, is perfect for a kitchen bench or as the centerpiece on your dinning table.
Using the same ideas we use at Christmas time, can also work very well, why not an Easter Wreath like this one from A Pumpkin and A Princess. The pastel colours would work perfectly for our theme.
Stone Gable
I have linked to Stone Gable for many decorating ideas, and this table centerpiece is another great example of Yvonne’s work. Simple and elegant, it would work for your Easter table as well being perfect to be used as a decoration before the Easter weekend.
I love my Christmas tree, and replicate a smaller Christmas tree at Easter each year. I have one sitting on my sideboard decorated with lights and plastic Easter eggs, this one however via Yes Please Blog, brilliantly uses flowered branches to really pack a punch. It’s so bright and cheerful and perfectly colourful.
Christmas and Easter and the two times a year I make time for crafting, in years gone by I have shared this time with my kids, now however it’s something I tend to do alone. This inspired idea from Little Inspiration would look gorgeous anywhere in the home, or on the Easter table. Such a simple, cute and fun idea to bring a bit of magic back into Easter.
These are just a few of the ways you could incorporate some Easter styling into your home, I’d love you to share over on Facebook if you do decorate your home.
Do you decorate for Easter? Is it a special time of year for you?

My favourite thing about Easter is all the baking and of course, the chocolate. That wreath is divine! I am so tempted to do an Easter tree but seeing as I put the Christmas tree up twice a year, I think I might be pushing my luck in the tree department!
