Because this week is simply all over the place for us, we are having an inspired space post on a Thursday, why not! We have just started sharing some inspiration to get you as excited about Summer as I am, it’s my favourite time of the year. The Builder tells me all the time, that’s only because I don’t work out in the sun all day, and he is right, I am lucky to work in the air con, which means I do love the long days and thrive on the warmth and sunshine.
I cannot think of a better way to enjoy the Summer warmth than on a deck, particularly with a glass of bubbles in hand, fairy lights on and a mozzie candle burning. This is my version of bliss. While searching for some deck ideas on my ever faithful Pinterest, I cam across some absolute stunners I just have to share with you.
Decks
We are spoilt for deck entertaining choices here at Pen Y Llechwedd, which is fortunate, we entertain often. The side deck off our bedroom is reserved for early morning coffees and a private glass of wine away from the kids. the front deck is awesome over Christmas when the Christmas lights are on, it’s a thrill to watch people drive by admiring the lights. The back deck is where the serious partying goes on ?
I adore this outdoor kitchen and deck by Rylo Builders and Rylo Interiors. Such a fresh tropical space. Imagine a few casual Friday night drinks with a BBQ to follow, this is the space I’d love to do it!
This gorgeous outdoor entertaining space by Savvy Southern Style, ticks all my boxes. We have fairy lights on our back deck, they set the party mood perfectly.
This Byron Bay stunner, shows even a narrow space can be a perfect spot for a useful deck. Crushing hard on the clever use of the box seat which would also make for storage. Love.
I am a sucker for a fire pit, add a low deck, a lion and this is right up there for the perfect deck. I love the whole area flows.
Summer entertaining is easy with a deck space to enjoy. Nothing better than a BBQ, a few drinks, soft music and good company all out in the warm gentle breeze on the deck.
Do you have a deck? Where is your favourite spot to entertain?

I don’t have a deck but I’d love one that’s spacious and safe to watch storms from.
