Coloured Kitchens – Inspired Space

Coloured Kitchens – Inspired Space

I am naturally drawn to white kitchens, but they are not for everyone, this week we are exploring a few kitchens that have embraced colour. Classic colours can work really well in a kitchen space and are not likely to date too quickly. If you are concerned about the longevity of your choices, why not consider adding a few key elements that are easier to change, for example the splash back. Cabinet colours and bench tops are expensive and difficult to change, so if you are not entirely sure of your choice, this is a simply swap out to help you embrace the colour trend.

Coloured Kitchens

Colour can be used in so many ways, I love the way interior designer, Francesca Owings has used this blue island as a feature in the kitchen and then has picked up the blue tone in so many other areas of the house. A stunning home, well worth following the link to view.

Studio Muir are not at all afraid of colour, having used it to perfect in the four kitchens above! All of these kitchens look like a dream space to work in, the colour compliments each home to perfection!

This timber island by Kate Marker Interiors, is another great way to introduce a little colour into your kitchen, a classic choice.

This delightful kitchen belonging to Rachel from Mason De Pax, blends grey, white and marble seamlessly. The addition of the timber butchers block and the pop of red from the rug on the floor, are just divine!

Coloured can be used very successfully in kitchen with some careful consideration and choices. Who knows, perhaps I will incorporate some colour into my next kitchen after all!

Have you used colour in your kitchen? Which of the kitchens above is your favourite?

  1. I actually get drawn to kitchens that have a bright colour. Like a red or orange splashback or even a Moroccan tile splashback. I think colours work really well as a splashback and then a neutral cupboard in black/white or even grey. My most favourite colour scheme for a kitchen though is black and white.
