Still looking for inspiration for our Art Deco style Queenslander renovation we are working towards. The kitchen is next on my design list, and as always I have turned to Pinterest to lead me through my thinking. Again strong is predominately how I would describe this style, with patterns and colours heavily featured.
Art Deco Style Kitchen
I adore this Art Deco style kitchen as photographed by Genevieve Garruppo and designed by Naomi Stein. I love how the clean white tiles and marble are the perfect backdrop for the strength of design in the island bench and range hood. An amazing example of restraint. The pendant lights, complete the look of this room.
While this kitchen is a little eclectic in its design, it has a major nod to the Art Deco period with it’s classic black and white tiling to the wonderful use of colour on the walls. Such a fun kitchen!
How amazing are these glass doors as featured by NZ House & Garden. What a wonderfully art deco feature for a kitchen. Often restraint is required with such a strong design style and the simple elegance of these glass door is just perfect to bring a kitchen into the period.
What a cracker!! From The Heart Of Bespoke, this kitchen is an amazing example of Art Deco styling. The shapes in the kitchen are true to the time, and what a stunning example of fine cabinetry. Just spectacular!
Art Deco is such a strong style, for me the addition of one or two key elements is enough to create the look we are after. I look forward to playing with patterns and colours in this project.
