We have timber floors all through the top level of our home and vinyl planks on the lower level and both can be cool during Autumn and Winter. Because of this we have rugs in several of the rooms, and I am always looking to add more. Floor rugs are a great way to layer texture and colour into your home decor.
8 Fantastic Floor Rugs For Under $500
My colour palete this year has changed a little from the usual soft grey with a pop of colour, to soft pinks and greys. Especially in Autumn, those colours feel warm and comforting. That said, many of these rugs are also available in very neutral colours as well, which will suit almost every home decor style.
When choosing a rug, remember bigger is nearly always better, your rug should be big enough that the front legs of the chairs in the lounge can all comfortably fit on with plenty of room for your coffee table, in the bedroom the rug should either fit completely under your bed and come out at least the width of your bedside tables or half the length of the bed and the same width. If you are unsure, ask for help!
