I told you this week was vignette week! We’ve shared inspiration from others styling their vignettes, we have a post dedicated to showing you how to style your own vignette and yesterday we looked at how to shoot your vignette and post it to Instagram. Today though, I am sharing some of the vignettes around my home. I am very excited to be planning to style a new space in our Pen Y Llechwedd, just in time for next months open day. I look forward to sharing that with you soon too.
Vignettes Around My Home
My sideboard has a variety of items with a similar colour and texture, though varying heights and shapes, all grounded by the little Dutch figures, which are actually salt and pepper shakers.
Again this bar cart is full of similar colours and textures, but with the occasional pop of blue to hold your eye and then to draw it up with the blue and white artwork on the wall.
In each of these vignettes, I needed add depth in the form of the magazine stack and the tray.
This simple vignette on my desk is one of my favourites. There are many more within the shelves of the library.
A vignette on the dinning table created by the stylist especially for the magazine shoot. I just love the way the blue and white patterns work together.
I added light to this vignette on my desk shelves, to bring your eye up from the regular mess of the desk, to the pretty shelves above.
I have vignettes all around my home, from the bathroom to the kitchen even the kids rooms get the treatment. I love these small opportunities to bring our personalities into our home in the form of decorating.
Do you enjoy decorating your home? Are you more of a minimalist? Care to share a picture of one of your vignettes?
